Lounge renovation

One of our most favourite lounges, the Big Lounge, has recently been renovated by experienced restorers. Women’s bathrooms were restored a while ago as well. As of January 2009, you have the chance to see the bottom (22 metres) of one of our five wells that we uncovered for you in the antechamber of the Knight’s Hall. The well was established simultaneously with the malt house in 1600.

This is the smallest lounge, which is also the famous one of all, with 30 chairs. It features wood panelling on walls with numerous paintings of guests of the past. In the front of the room there is a unique leather-covered king’s throne. Portraits of famous personalities line the walls.
