Lounge renovation

One of our most favourite lounges, the Big Lounge, has recently been renovated by experienced restorers. Women’s bathrooms were restored a while ago as well. As of January 2009, you have the chance to see the bottom (22 metres) of one of our five wells that we uncovered for you in the antechamber of the Knight’s Hall. The well was established simultaneously with the malt house in 1600.

About us / What's new

This is the second largest lounge in our establishment; it can accommodate 150 guests. Its former use includes a chapel or malt house. It was rebuilt in the Romantic style. Beautifully decorated walls feature a life-size portrait of the first brewer. Carved chairs with the coats of arms of our towns and cities with breweries invite guests to sit on them comfortably. Names of brewers who had worked here between the years 1499 and 1883 can be found on doors.
